Course objectives
First aid is a set of measures used to provide immediate assistance in the event of a sudden threat to health. The aim of the course is to familiarize participants with individual conditions that threaten the health and life of patients/clients and with the principles of providing emergency first aid.
Learning outcomes
principles of first aid provision;
conditions threatening the health of the affected person;
assessment of the situation and condition of the affected person;
first aid in urgent situations of an accident or non-accident nature;
conditions threatening the life of the affected person;
basic life support and indications for performing emergency resuscitation (CPR) in adults and children;
practical training with an instructor.

Assessment methods
Students must have at least 80% attendance to successfully complete the course. Requirements: submission of reading assignments from professional texts to IS and their approval by the instructor - independent reading according to the topic of the seminar, completion of reading assignments, active participation in the class, final test.
