- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce students to natural cosmetics, basic legislation in this area, sources of natural cosmetic raw materials and representatives of active substances and excipients.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- orient themselves in the field of natural cosmetics, describe methodologies for determining the proportion of naturalness;
- describe the sources of natural cosmetic raw materials;
- describe the different groups of natural excipients and basic examples. - Syllabus

- - Certification organisations for natural cosmetics in the EU and worldwide, characteristics.
- - Certification of natural cosmetics in the Czech Republic.
- - Methods and methodologies for determining the proportion of naturalness in cosmetic raw materials and products.
- - Technological procedures and chemical methods approved for natural cosmetics.
- - Sources of natural cosmetic raw materials, characteristics of the basic groups.
- - Natural excipients: preservatives.
- - Natural excipients: antioxidants and colouring agents.
