Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain main periods of history of European Art after 1500.
Syllabus
  • "Late Gothic" architecture and sculpture (15th century).
  • "Cinquecento" - the High Renaissance in Italy (16th century).
  • Protobaroque and Baroque (the end of 16th - 17th century).
  • Late baroque, rococo style and Classicism (18th století).
  • Historicism of the 19th century.
  • Modernism and postmodernism, "second modernism" (20th century).
