Course objectives
The seminar intends to prepare students for proper asking and answering research questions at the phase of projects preparation. For the purpose will the students be provided with proper methodological tools. They will test the usefullness of the tools in the process of a "test research". The seminar will focus on differentiation and specialisation of the learning process, testing in formulation and implementation of research projects, extending students competences, and preparation for writing B.A. thesis which would be of high quality from the stylistic, heuristic and analytical point of view.
Syllabus
  • Students will be introduced to a wider scale of methodological approaches to a historical research: cultural history of cinema, economic history of cinema, history of film style.
  • These research fields will be introduced successively by lecturers (Radomír Kokeš, Pavel Skopal, Michal Večeřa) specializing on economic, cultural and aesthetic history. The teaching process will proceed in three phases: (a) methodological preparation, (b) implemantation of a test research (c) comparison of the research results with model cases.
