Course objectives
The aim of the course is to understand the development of the term "scholar / intellectual" in modern times and how the transformation of the social and political environment in the European and Central European history of the 19th and 20th centuries changed the cultural and social status of "intellectuals".
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to describe the transformation of the position of intellectuals in society in the changes of modern history, especially in the 20th century.
