The questions of relations between Czechs and Germans and the position of various population groups (anti-fascists, specialists, members of mixed marriages, Austrians, German-speaking Jews, Czech old settlers, new settlers and re-migrants in the borderlands or non-relocated Germans) will be examined. The seminar will also provide a basic overview of related topics to the issue under study (minority politics in Czechoslovakia, the transformation of the Czech borderlands after 1945). Reading or watching excerpts from films and period documentaries followed by discussion is also part of the seminar.
