- At the end of the course students should be able to:
understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc;
understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday or specific field related language;
deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken;
deal with unprepared conversation on topics that ranged from familiar, of personal interest or pertinent to everyday life (e.g. family, hobbies, work, travel and current events) to specific topics (e.g. economy, drugs, critics of movies and perfomances);
present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects related to fields of interest;
explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options; - Výstupy z učení
- Student will be able to:

- Final written exam (computerized, on campus) and oral exam (in person). The student needs to pass both the written (70% above) and the oral exam.
Besides the exams, the following rules must be observed:
1) Up to 4 unexcused absences are allowed in one semester. In case of 5 or more unexcused absences, the student will not be allowed to sit the final exam.
2) In order for an absence to be excused, the student should approach the Study Department of the Faculty with an official request.
3) The student fulfills all tasks given by the teacher (assignments, presentations, etc.) Unpreparedness is judged as absence.
4) Students must not switch study groups, unless the teacher explicitly approved.
FORMAT OF FINAL EXAMS:
The written exam takes place on a Monday or Tuesday, followed by the oral exam on Thursday or Friday of the same week. Only after a student passed the written part will s/he be allowed to sit the oral. The oral part takes the form of 1-on-1 conversation with the main examiner. The students who passed the written part will be approached for a time slot for the oral.
The oral part takes place in the presence of a senior member of the department as a co-examiner ;-) - Vyučovací jazyk

Attendance and Discuss in class 25% 3 unexcused absences allowed during the semester. You need to participate in class discussions. Assignments 30% 1. You have to hand in your assignment on time. Besides, please finish the assignment before the class. And if you are absent on the class when your assignment should be handed in, the deadline of your assignment will be postponed to next class spontaneously. 1 late assignment 23% 2 late assignment 16% 3 late assignment 9% 4 late assignment 0% 2.Sometimes according to the lesson it might have the extra assignments. Quiz 20% The quiz will test the Vocabularies and grammar for 10-20 minutes. Moreover, we will have some unannounced Quiz sometimes. Tests 25% 10 times. If you lost one time, you should have the test in next day. Otherwise you will get 0 from your that time grade. Final exam ( Written+Oral 70%↑: pass, 70%↓: fail) Written Exam: The exam will test from Lesson 9 to Lesson 16. Oral Exam: Presentation.

- At the end of the course students should be able to:
understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc;
understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday or specific field related language;
deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken;
deal with unprepared conversation on topics that ranged from familiar, of personal interest or pertinent to everyday life (e.g. family, hobbies, work, travel and current events) to specific topics (e.g. economy, drugs, critics of movies and perfomances);
present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects related to fields of interest;
explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options; - Osnova
