Course objectives
The seminar is designed for students who would like to become familiar with the principles of correct Polish pronunciation.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to understand and explain the general phonetics problems. The student will become acquainted with the scientific phonetic terminology. The student will also be able to explain the speech process, characterize the sounds according to their characteristics and apply the phonetic transcription.
Syllabus
  • Grammar and vocabulary based on the textbook "Fonetyka" and "Szura, szumi, szeleści"
  • Transkrypcja fonetyczna. Różnicowanie głosek. Akcent wyrazowy. Akcent zdaniowy i intonacja. Łamańce językowe. Wymowa liczebników. Wymowa długich wyrazów. Popularne błędy w wymowie. Wymowa gwarowa i ogólnopolska.
