- Course objectives
- The era of Balkan socialist cinemas ended with the collapses of communist regimes in Bulgaria, Romania (1989) and Albania (1990) and with the break-up of Yugoslavia. The Bulgarian film industry fell into depression, Romanian film art succeeded on festivals during the first time but they were no films produced in 2000; a revival came lately with a new wave. The national cinemas of the former Yugoslavia – Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, Bosnian, Macedonian and the cinema of Montenegro develop in conditions of independent countries; everyone reflects in its own point of view the upcoming ethnic conflicts and wars.Films: 4 luni, 3 saptamani şi 2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, Cristian Mungiu 2007), A fost sau n-a fost?
