Course objectives
Activity of librarians and information professionals is connected to copyrighted works. Students can learn about basic rules for operating with copyrighted works.
At the end of this course, students should be able to understand the area of copyright and to solve easier problem of copyright.
Syllabus
  • Definition of copyrighted work;
  • terminology of copyright area;
  • copyright, its creation and duration;
  • continental and anglo-american way of copyright;
  • types of usage;
  • free usage;
  • licences;
  • collective management of copyright;
  • school work;
  • copyright in electronic environment.
