Course objectives
Activity of librarians and information professionals is connected to copyrighted works. Students can learn about basic rules for operating with copyrighted works. It is also necessary to focus on rights and duties given by the law in practice besides knowledge of copyright law.
Activity in the librarian and information environment is limited in other fields, therefore other laws will be described, such as the Personal data protextion Act or Certain services of Information society Act.
At the end of this course, students will be able to navigate themselves in the legislative restrictions of librarian and information work and they will know how to solve some minor problems in practice.
