- Course objectives
- There will be studied architecture, sculpture, painting, drawing, graphic arts, photography and other visual artistic disciplines pursued in Brno within the course. The main interest is aimed at the history of the chosen cultural institutions and particular biographies of the personalities of the Brno artistic stage. Several excursions will be carried out during the course.
- Syllabus
- 1) The architecture of Brno - summary.
- 2) Brno as a cultural centre and institutions supporting fine arts: museums and galleries, art schools, associations and societies, platforms for publications etc.
- 3) Works by painters, sculptors and other artists active in Brno
- 4) The Brno themes
- Notice: The main attention will be devoted to the time from the end of the 18th century to he beginnings of the 21st century - according to the periods: a/ 1780-1848, b/ 1848-1918, c/ 1918-1948, d/ 1948-2008

- Assessment methods
- The conditons for the finishing of the course: 1) A seminary work in an extension min. 4.500 types; the work will be submited at least till Mai, the 12th, and eventually also presented; it is necessary to write the used sources (literature); 2) the knowledge of the contents of lectures (it will be prooved through a colloqium).
