- Main aims of the lecture are:
1) further information useful for the exam in CJA005,
2) more information about the individual Slavonic languages,
3) the capability of students to understand the importance of Old Church Slavonic for the comparative studies of Slavonic languages. - Syllabus
- Consequences of the dialectal differentiation of Proto-Slavonic especially with regard to the phonological development of the individual Slavonic languages
- Brief characterization of the individual Slavonic languages
- The position of Old Church Slavonic among the other Slavonic languages
- Old Church Slavonic: typical features of its phonology, morphology and vocabulary
- Development of Old Church Slavonic – the individual stages
- Versions of Old Church Slavonic
- The most significant literary texts written in Old Church Slavonic
