Course objectives
The state final examination concludes the two-year Master's degree in sound design and multimedia technologies. During the examination, the student has to demonstrate the required knowledge and orientation in the given field within the scope defined by the thematic areas of the state final examination.
Learning outcomes
The content and scope of the state final examination corresponds to the requirements and structure of the profiling courses that lead to the fulfilment of the set study objectives and enable the planned learning outcomes.
Syllabus
  • The state final examination consists of two parts and the defence of the Master's thesis:
  • Master's thesis/project defence
  • 1) Theoretical knowledge of sound design and multimedia technologies
  • - Technological prerequisites of sound design in multimedia
  • - Theory, history and present of sound design (Music Acoustics, Signal and Systems Theory, Studio Technology and Sound Studies)
  • 2) Practical skills in sound design and multimedia technology
  • - Production prerequisites for sound design in multimedia
  • - Sound design in multimedia technology (Sound production, Sound design for multimedia work, Sound design for live performance, Electrophones)
Teaching methods
Thesis/project defence; oral examination.
Assessment methods
The State Final Examination Committee will evaluate the student's performance at the thesis/project defense and at the oral examination.
