UJ_SLAV02 Language Exercises I
The course means further development in communicative abilities in Ukrainian with the emphasis on elimination of obstacles caused by Czech-Russian and Czech-Ukrainian (or Russian-Ukrainian) interference in grammatical and lexical areas. The lessons include knowledge of Ukrainian culture and life, reading, interpretation and translation of original Ukrainian fiction and special texts.

Course objectives

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to communicate in Ukrainian at level C1 according to the European framework.
Syllabus
  • Verbs. Present, past and future tense.
  • Imperative. Imperative sentences.
  • Conditional.
  • Aspect. Formation of aspect pairs.
  • Sound alternation when forming aspects.
  • Usage of aspect for negative
  • Aspect. Verbal adjectives, participles, reflexive verbs. Participles.

One two-lesson seminar every week. Regular practical training of oral and written knowledge. Additional practice. Widening the lexicon – translations. Deepening the knowledge of realia – by a form of a paper
