Franz Anton Maulbertsch (1724-1796), important representative of the European late Baroque painting and his activity and artistic influence in Moravia
Syllabus
  • Arthistorical and iconographical analyses of the Maulbertsch's works (frescos and altar paintings) for patrons in Moravia, incusive the research of their historical background
  • Maulbertsch's Moravian works in the light of the archive sources and literature
  • bishop's residence - sommer castle in Kroměříž
  • piarist church in Mikulov
  • paintings for the main altars in S. Thomas Church in Brno and for premonstratensian monastery in Zábrdovice (Brno)
  • carthusian monastery in Královo Pole (Brno)
  • premonstratensian monastery in Louce at Znojmo
  • pilgrimage church in Dyje
  • Maulbertsch's minor works for patrons in Moravia
  • preliminary works - oil sketches, drawings in Moravian collections

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Přednáška (kredit C) je ukončena kolokviem. Vyuka probíhá kontaktním způsobem a je určena také doktorandům. Podmínkou udělení kolokvia je vypracování a přednesení seminární práce na téma zadané na začátku semestru.
