Přednáška pokrývá období dějin estetiky 1500-1750 dle Tatarkiewiczovy periodizace (Dějiny estetiky III., Bratislava 1989). Četba a interpretace pramenných textů z období pozdní renesance, post-tridentského manýrismu, francouzského klasicismu a evropského baroka se zvláštním zřetelem k dvorským institucím, mravním kodexům a estetice sociální komunikace.
