Course objectives
Since works of Group 42 has been influenced in another age, we could not omit this fact and we will highlight some poets, who follow up with Group 42. This elective seminar (the continuation of the previous seminar Group 42) will focus mainly on interpretation of poetry from various specific views. Some topics are covering general features of Group 42. Other topics are geared toward a discussion of poets of Group 42 and poets, who follow in the steps of Group 42.

  • 1. Poetry of Group 42 as a political mirror? 2. Group 42 in children's literature. 3.-4. Total realism of Honza Krejcarová, Egon Bondy and Bohumil Hrabal, a "hidden" member of the Group 42. 5. Kolář's metamorphoses (concrete poetry) 6.-7. Emil Juliš a Jan Zábrana - the heredity of Group 42. 8. The influence of the Group 42 on Jan Vladislav. 9.-11. Poetry of Zdeněk Rotrekl, Ivan Diviš a Ivan Slavík in relations to poetics of Group 42. 12. Late debutant Viola Fischerová. 13. Exil poetry of Ivan Blatný.
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Seminář bude ukončen zápočtem; předpoklady k jeho dosažení budou: napsání referátu na jedno z témat daných osnovou (každý jednotlivý seminář bude otevírat referát jednoho či i více studentů), účast v seminářích (50%) a příprava do výuky (odevzdání.pěti krátkých anotací o knihách poezie).
