Course objectives

The aim of the lecture is to give a brief survey of history of aesthetics and additional selected probes.

Syllabus (in Czech)

1. Vývin filozoficko-estetické reflexe múzických a výtvarných umění od antiky po 18. století. 2. Baumgartenova koncepce estetiky jako nauky o smyslovém vnímání. 3. Umění v Kantově Kritice soudnosti a formalismus v estetice. 4. Susanne Langerová a významová umělecká forma. 5. Strukturalismus a umělecké dílo. 6. Arthur Danto a svět umění. 7. Institucionální teorie umění. 8. Krása a vznešeno v umění. 9. Odluka moderního umění od krásy. 10. Umění a nová senzibilita. 11. Estetika a anestetika. 12. Wolfgang Welsch a estetické myšlení.
