Course objectives
The goal of the subject is to introduce the core ideas of self-directed learning, current trends in the world of education and with the use of practical exercices, workshops and project learning to help him to gain a skill of self-directed learning as a necessary skill for 21st century. By completining the course, students should be able to: 1) know main trends in education, personal and career development 2) know about available resources, tools and networks 3) design personal learning environment and personal learning plan 4) use methods of self-direction and self-regulation 5) work wihin the group of learners and also by their own 6) take over control of their education, its content, form and results

  • 1) Self-directed learning I: mental models, perspectives of personal and career development in 21st century 2) Self-directed learning II: resources, tools, networks, study tips and practical advice 3) Design of personal learning environment and plan of the project 4) Study blocks - solving learning problems, mentoring 5) Presentation of project (PLE design, personal learning plan and outcomes)
