The motivated student will be introduced to a possible delineation of German philosophy (using the examples of V. Hössle a L. Ferry), to the axis of ideas, structure, focus and context of Benjamin´s work "Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction", to the structure and arguments of "Dialectic of Enlightment", to the activity of the Ritter school, and to the key themes in the works of H. Blumenberg and O. Marquard. By means of a probe into the theme of stress and freedom, students will be introduced into P. Sloterdijk´s method of philosophy, by means of the work of H. M. Enzensberger, they will map the overlap between philosophy and literature, and by means of Liessmannˇs theory of ignorance, they will inquire into ideas of the transformation of education since Adorno´s theory of half education until now.
