- Course objectives
- The lecture is an introduction into problematics of historical topography as an auxiliary historical discipline for historical research.
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to introduce students to the problematics of localization in historical sources;
to recognize old maps as a historical source;
to reconstruct borders in the past;
to present the territorial development of the Czech state;
to make students familiar with the methods for the settlement's reconstruction. - Syllabus
