- Course objectives
- The purpose of the seminar is to inform students about the colonization of the Czech- moravian uplands and the exploitation of gold and silver therein. On completion of this course students will have gained knowledge of colonization and settlement with the exception of the " old settlement", as well as knowledge of montane archeology, within the model area of the Czech- moravian uplands.

- 1. Introduction.
- 2. Enviromental conditions of the region.
- 3. Prehistoric use of highly situated locations with the reference to the Czech- moravian uplands.
- 4. Internal colonization in the 12 th and first half of the 13 th century.
- 5. Town locations / Jihlava as an example/.
- 6. Gold exploatation in prehistory and middle ages.
- 7. Silver mining in Jihlava – general thesis.
- 8. Mining agglomeration Jihlava Staré Hory. Prospection, silver mining and metallurgy.
- 9. Mining agglomeration Jihlava Staré Hory - wooden buildings and problems ot their interpretations.
