Course objectives
Language Practice in Modern Greek I supplements the course Practical Modern Greek I (MED35). The aim of the course is to exercise deeply the orthography and various problematic phenomenona of Modern Greek grammar.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student will be able to:
- match the knowledge of grammatical rules discussed in the mandatory course;
- improve the writing and speaking;
- practice in pronunciation;
- apply the competencies acquired in mandatory course.
Syllabus
  • It follows the outline of the course Practical Modern Greek I.
  • 1. Pronunciation.
  • 2. Orthography practice.
  • 3. Translation into Czech and vice versa.
  • 4. Reading of simple texts.
  • 5. Conversation.

The course has a form of a seminar. Homework is required – students prepare assigned grammatical exercises.
