Course objectives
Students collaborate on the implementation of a comprehensive educational program focused on the issue of studying culture and art, intended for secondary school students in the penultimate and final (matriculation) years.
Learning outcomes
The student gradually realizes and improves the acquired teaching abilities, skills and knowledge. After completing the course, he will be able to:
- identify and summarize the specifics of teaching aesthetic education
- apply acquired subject and didactic knowledge in teaching
- formulate and share a structured reflection of one's own and observed teaching and lead a valuable seminar discourse
Syllabus
  • Practice I. and Practice III. always takes place in the autumn semester and its content is the preparation and implementation of a separate teaching module "Introduction to the study of science, art and culture" intended for the final two years of secondary school students in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Trainees from among the students of three fields of ÚHV will collaborate on the implementation: teaching aesthetic education for secondary schools (preparation of didactic materials, teaching, feedback from the target group, reflection of teaching), theory of interactive media (presentation including creation of its concept, web, marketing, visual) and management in culture (project management, cooperation with TIM on individual tasks). The project will be prepared in working groups throughout the autumn semester, the teaching students will implement parts of the teaching as dryrun with the specialist didactics, and their performances will be subjected to peer review by colleagues and the specialist didactics. The teaching module itself will be implemented over 2 to 5 days (Thursday to Sunday) around January 20 to 25 of the given year, when the autumn semester classification is already closed in high schools and students still have about 5 weeks left to apply for university. As a pedagogical practice, this teaching module will not be an end in itself, on the contrary, it will serve high school students to get an idea of ​​the methods and the overall nature of the issue of art study, and in the event of an intersection of interests, it will provide them with the appropriate motivation. Teaching students in the subject Practice III. will have a greater time burden than the students of the Practice I course, but they will all work together.
Teaching methods
Total time burden: 20 hours of direct teaching, 100 hours of preparation, reflection, etc. Seminars, preparatory workshops, organizational work on the project, practical teaching, reflection of teaching.
Assessment methods
Credit for successfully completing the number of hours of direct teaching and related activities.
