Course objectives
One day field excursions in Brno surrounding. Different environmental problems are presented in cultural and natural type of landscape in relation to protection of plant and animal communities.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to define fundamental environmental problems in urban and suburban landscape. Students will be able to explain orgin of this problems and suggest suitable solutions to elimination or reduction of their impacts as well.
Syllabus
  • Main environmental risk and hazards are demostrated on particular cases togedher with most suitable solutions from the poit of view of nature protections and state administration. Main goals is gathering knowledge about circumstances of practical management of environmental risk as landfils, recultivations, brownfields, suburbies, poluttion sources, management of cultural landscape, alternative energy sources negative impacts on biodiversity, landscape character, systems of ecological stability, protected areas etc.
