- Plasma Physics (programme PřF, D-FY4)
- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to expand students' knowledge in the field of physics of electrical discharges in gases. In particular, it concerns basic knowledge about the movement of charged particles in a gas and the ignition of a discharge. Furthermore, the student will become familiar with the basic types of discharges and their properties. They will also become familiar with the applications of discharges in various areas of industry.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- describe the events leading to the ignition of the discharge,
- describe the basic types of discharges and their properties,
- show applications of discharges in industry. - Syllabus
