Course objectives
Target of this course is to lead the student to understand:

Identifing of landscape character, their typical elements of both natural and cultural origin.
recognizing of impact of some social processes to the landscape, i.e. struggle for the horizont, dominancy and ideology;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture and to identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
identify and analyze values, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.
elaborate a final report about landscape character values.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:

Identify landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes;
identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.);
Elaborate a map of Landscape character unites, evaluate their values and propose adequate management.

  • 1. Introduction. Why and how we need to study Landscapes. 2-5. Natural elements in the Landscape and its shape. 6-7. Antropogenous modification of the Landscape, its history. Composed artificial Landscapes. 8. Architectonical styles and their influence on the village architecture. 9. Types of villages and organization of their agricultural landscape. 10. Distiguishing of the Landscape localities and regions. 11-12. Method of evaluation of landscape old features (Lőw et al.) + Method of evaluation of proposed constructions and activities impact on the Landscape shape (Vorel et al). 12. Landscape Typology of the Czechia. 13. Legislation and the protection of the Landscapes (European Agreement on Landscape, Czech act No. 114/92 Sb.).

Teaching methods
Lectures are held with help of powerpoint presentations. As a homework student is obliged to study of 2 topics, presented in form of video.
Seminars consist of identifying of field and meadows organization types and discussions above project of external experts and students projects. Target of three seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursions in city of Brno.
Student will elaborate a map of Landscape character with use of terrain research (min. 2km2) and an explanation text.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. During the exam student will recognize several architectonical styles presented on the computer monitor.
Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30 % of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

Teaching methods
Lectures are held with help of powerpoint presentations. As a homework student is obliged to study of 2 topics, presented in form of video.
Seminars consist of identifying of field and meadows organization types and discussions above project of external experts and students projects. Target of three seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursions in city of Brno.
Student will elaborate a map of Landscape character with use of terrain research (min. 2km2) and an explanation text.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. During the exam student will recognize several architectonical styles presented on the computer monitor.
Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30 % of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

Target of this course is to lead the student to understand:

Identifing of landscape character, their typical elements of both natural and cultural origin.
recognizing of impact of some social processes to the landscape, i.e. struggle for the horizont, dominancy and ideology;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture and to identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
identify and analyze values, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.
elaborate a final report about landscape character values.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:

Identify landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes;
identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.);
Elaborate a map of Landscape character unites, evaluate their values and propose adequate management.

Distiguishing of the Landscape localities and regions. 11-12. Method of evaluation of landscape old features (Lőw et al.) + Method of evaluation of proposed constructions and activities impact on the Landscape shape (Vorel et al). 12. Landscape Typology of the Czechia. 13. Composed artificial landscapes (lecture of Assoc. Prof. A. Salašová from MZLU). 14. Course objectives
Target of this course is to lead the student to understand:

Identifing of landscape character, their typical elements of both natural and cultural origin.
recognizing of impact of some social processes to the landscape, i.e. struggle for the horizont, dominancy and ideology;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture and to identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
identify and analyze values, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.
elaborate a final report about landscape character values.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:

Identify landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes;
identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.);
Elaborate a map of Landscape character unites, evaluate their values and propose adequate management.

  • 1. Introduction. Why and how we need to study Landscapes. 2-5. Natural elements in the Landscape and its shape. 6-7. Antropogenous modification of the Landscape, its history. 8. Architectonical styles and their influence on the village architecture. 9. Types of villages and organization of their agricultural landscape. 10. Distiguishing of the Landscape localities and regions. 11-12. Method of evaluation of landscape old features (Lőw et al.) + Method of evaluation of proposed constructions and activities impact on the Landscape shape (Vorel et al). 12. Landscape Typology of the Czechia. 13. Composed artificial landscapes (lecture of Assoc. Prof. A. Salašová from MZLU). 14. Legislation and the protection of the Landscapes (European Agreement on Landscape, Czech act No. 114/92 Sb.).

Teaching methods
Lectures are held with help of powerpoint presentations. Seminars consist of identifying of field and meadows organization types and discussions above project of external experts and students projects. Target of three seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursion in the Brno city.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. Recognizing of main architectonical styles is also part of the exam. Evaluation of the seminar project and activity of the student in seminars give cca 30% of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fullfil at least on level "E".

discuss and aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this;
identify and analyze values, problems and possibilities of respective Landscapes, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.

Target of four seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursions in city of Brno.

Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30% of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

At the end of the course students should be able to: identify landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes;
evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of respective Landscapes for special use by means of SWOT analysis and Slowak metodology LANDEP;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to: identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
discuss and aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this;
identify and analyze values, problems and possibilities of respective Landscapes, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.

Teaching methods
Lectures are held with help of powerpoint presentations. Seminars consists of identifying of field and meadows organization types and discussions above project of external experts and students projects. Target of four seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursions in city of Brno.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30% of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

Course objectives
The first target of the course is identifying of Landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes. The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. That is why architectonical styles and their impact to the folk art architecture are studied too. Types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows are an important part of this course. Next step is the evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of Landscapes for special use by means of SWOT analysis and Slowak metodology LANDEP. We shall discuss two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this. Students will elaborate their own Landscape mapping and identifying of values, problems and posibilities of respect Landscape. Evaluation of conservation of old man-made landscape structures is incorporated too.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka je prezenční za hojné pomoci obrazových materiálů. Zkouška je ústní (cca 30 min.) s možností přípravy. Během kursu student zpracuje semestrální práci v terénu. Mapuje se krajinný ráz vybraného území (o velikosti min. 2 km2), výsledkem je textová správa, samozřejmě včetně mapového výstupu (tzv. preventivní hodnocení krajinného rázu). Hodnocení seminární práce tvoří 30% závěrečné známky, zkoušku je však nutno vykonat alespoň na E. Povinnost navštěvovat přednášky samozřejmě neexistuje, ale protože se v přednáškách bude jednat i o osobní zkušenosti a komentáře, tak studovat tento předmět bez účasti na přednáškách není to pravé ořechové.

Target of this course is to lead the student to understand:

Identifing of landscape character, their typical elements of both natural and cultural origin.
recognizing of impact of some social processes to the landscape, i.e. struggle for the horizont, dominancy and ideology;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture and to identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
identify and analyze values, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.

Student will elaborate a map of Landscape character with use of terrain research (min. 2km2) and an explanation text.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. During the exam student will recognize several architectonical styles presented on the computer monitor.
Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30 % of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

Seminars consist of identifying of field and meadows organization types and discussions above project of external experts and students projects. Target of three seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursions in city of Brno.
Student will elaborate a map of Landscape character with use of terrain research (min. 2km2) and an explanation text.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. During the exam student will recognize several architectonical styles presented on the computer monitor.
Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30 % of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

Target of this course is to lead the student to understand:

Identifing of landscape character, their typical elements of both natural and cultural origin.
recognizing of impact of some social processes to the landscape, i.e. struggle for the horizont, dominancy and ideology;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture and to identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
identify and analyze values, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.
elaborate a final report about landscape character values.

The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to: identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
discuss and aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this;
identify and analyze values, problems and posibilities of respective Landscapes, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.

Seminars consists of identifying of field and meadows organization types and discussions above project of external experts and students projects. Target of four seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursions in city of Brno.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30% of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: identify landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes;
evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of respective Landscapes for special use by means of SWOT analysis and Slowak metodology LANDEP;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to: identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
discuss and aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this;
identify and analyze values, problems and posibilities of respective Landscapes, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: identify landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes;
evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of respective Landscapes for special use by means of SWOT analysis and Slowak metodology LANDEP;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to: identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
discuss and aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this;
identify and analyze values, problems and posibilities of respective Landscapes, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.

Seminars consists of identifying of field and meadows organization types and discussions above project of external experts and students projects. Target of four seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursions in city of Brno.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30% of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

At the end of the course students should be able to: identify landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes;
evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of respective Landscapes for special use by means of SWOT analysis and Slowak metodology LANDEP;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to: identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
discuss and aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this;
identify and analyze values, problems and posibilities of respective Landscapes, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.

Course objectives
The first target of the course is identifying of Landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes. The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. That is why architectonical styles and their impact to the folk art architecture are studied too. Types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows are an important part of this course. Next step is the evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of Landscapes for special use by means of SWOT analysis and Slowak metodology LANDEP. We shall discuss two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this. Students will elaborate their own Landscape mapping and identifying of values, problems and posibilities of respect Landscape. Evaluation of conservation of old man-made landscape structures is incorporated too.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Výuka je prezenční za hojné pomoci obrazových materiálů. Zkouška je ústní (cca 30 min.) s možností přípravy. Během kursu student zpracuje semestrální práci v terénu. Mapuje se krajinný ráz vybraného území (o velikosti min. 2 km2), výsledkem je textová správa, samozřejmě včetně mapového výstupu (tzv. preventivní hodnocení krajinného rázu). Hodnocení seminární práce tvoří 30% závěrečné známky, zkoušku je však nutno vykonat alespoň na E. Povinnost navštěvovat přednášky samozřejmě neexistuje, ale protože se v přednáškách bude jednat i o osobní zkušenosti a komentáře, tak studovat tento předmět bez účasti na přednáškách není to pravé ořechové.

Lectures are held with help of powerpoint presentations. Seminars consists of identifying of field and meadows organization types and discussions above project of external experts and students projects. Target of four seminars is identifying of architectonical styles during excursions in city of Brno.
Assessment methods
Oral exam with possibility of written preparation. Evaluation of the seminar project gives cca 30% of the final mark, but the exam is necessary to fulfil on level "E" anyway.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: identify landscape types and unique features of individual Landscapes;
evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of respective Landscapes for special use by means of SWOT analysis and Slowak metodology LANDEP;
The main part of the course is dedicated to Landscape shape and its legislative protection. Students should be able to: identify architectonical styles and their influence to the folk art architecture;
identify types of villages and organization of their fields and meadows;
discuss and aply two Czech present-day methods for evaluation of Landscape shape (Vorel et al., Lőw et al.) and new approach to this;
identify and analyze values, problems and posibilities of respective Landscapes, level of conservation of old man-made landscape structures.

Antropogenous modification of the Landscape, its history. 6. Types of villages and organization of their agriculture landscape. 7. Distiguishing of the Landscape localities and regions. 8. Method of evaluation of landscape old features (Lőw et al.). 9. Method of evaluation of proposed contructions and activities impact to the Landscape shape (Vorel et al). 10. Landscape Typology of the Czechia. 11. Composed artificial landscapes (lecture of Assoc. Prof. A. Salašová from MZLU). 12. Method LANDEP, SWOT analysis. 13. Legislation and the protection of the Landscapes (European Agreement on Landscape, Czech act No. 114/92 Sb.).
