Syllabus
  • Parametric curves and surfaces in computer graphics: Hermite, Bezier, Coons, NURBS, splitting and joining polynomial curves. Principles of raster graphics devices. Sampling, alias and antialiasing. Raster image trasformations, convolution filters. Color perception, color models. Transformation and projection, camera. 3D solid models. FFD modelling. Visibility in image space and object space. Lightning models; smooth rendering. Textures. Global illumination: ray tracing, radiosity. Fractals.
