- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to train students in the anatomy of the dentition of historical populations. The students are learned to distinguish isolated teeth, to side isolated teeth, to detect pathologies at human teeth or jaws and are trained to use dental anthropological methods.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students will be able to distinguish isolated teeth, to side isolated teeth, to detect pathologies at human teeth or jaws and to use dental anthropological methods.
- Syllabus
- 1. Basic anatomy of human dentiton.
- 2. The description of human dentition, the styles of dental records. Levels, lines, directions in human dentition.
- 3. Dental tissues.
- 2. Ontogeny of human jaws, children, adults, males, females.
- 3. Ontogeny of human teeth, types of erruptions, changing of dentitions.
- 5. Anatomy and distinguishing types of teeth, siding and positioning.
- 6. Oclusion and its deformations.
- 7. Anomalies of deciduous and permanent teeth.
- 8. Deseases of teeth and jaws.
