Course objectives
The subject is dedicated to a round table or panel discussion of the first-year and second-year students. The first-year students shall introduce themselves and the second-year students shall talk about their experience with CEITEC PhD School.
Learning outcomes
The first-year students of CEITEC PhD School will be acquainted with how science is done at CEITEC, with the course of the PhD school.
Syllabus
In the first part of the course, first-year PhD students will introduce themselves, presenting their scientific background and the topic of their doctoral research. In the next part, second-year students will share their experiences and offer practical advice to the newcomers. The session will then open into a general discussion, focusing on key study milestones—such as TAC meetings and internships—exploring them from the students’ perspective and highlighting potential benefits and opportunities for improvement.
Teaching methods
The discussion is going to be in the form of a round table or panel. Speakers from the second year will present their topics and they will be discussed with first-year students and guests.
