Course objectives: The goal of this course is to introduce the students the process of film distribution following the post-production phase. On the particular examples and analysis of Czech and foreign films and its success in Czech cinemas we will show each step and strategy of film distribution. We will focus also on the history on Czech film distribution briefly, but we will place the emphasis mostly on the practical questions connected to this area with the contribution of experienced film professionals.
Assessment methods (in Czech): Kurs FAV108: Filmová distribuce se realizuje blokově v termínech 13.-14. října, 10.-11. listopadu a 8.-9. prosince, v pátek vždy od 15 do 18.15 h, v sobotu od 9.10 do 12.25 h.
