The aim of this bachelor's study program is to equip applicants with the necessary professional knowledge and the necessary minimum of psychological-pedagogical knowledge for successful work in education in the field of informatics.
The program is also a program that in combination with a follow-up teaching program at MU, prepares graduates for the teaching profession.

- ObjectivesThe aim of this bachelor's study program is to equip applicants with the necessary professional knowledge and the necessary minimum of psychological-pedagogical knowledge for successful work in education in the field of informatics.

- Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the programme, the graduate is able to:
- explain fundaments of computer systems, including operating systems, data storage and computer networks;
- design algorithms for solving concrete problems and formulate them in selected programming language;
- work as assistent or trainer in the field of information technologies;
- understand the basic concepts of pedagogy and didactics, to have an overview of a wide range of teaching methods and the possibilities of student / student assessment;
- understand current trends in teaching planning and management, prepare teaching materials and teaching environment, and lead instruction according to the teacher's instructions;
- manage, under the guidance of a teacher, groups of pupils / students and motivate individuals to work;
- understand fundamental psychological concepts and findings from developmental psychology and, on this basis, recognize and respect the individual needs of students and adapt pedagogical interventions to their capabilities;
- demonstrate knowledge of the fundamentals of educational policy and understand current trends in education, be prepared to collaborate with teachers, acknowledge their mission, and discuss the specifics of the teaching profession in the 21st century.

The graduate is ready to continue studying in a follow-up teaching program at MU or can work in various training centers with a focus on IT training.

Part of this study program is a compulsory pedagogical, continuous and reflective assistant practice in the total range of about 110 hours (4 ECTS credits).
- Goals of Theses
The goal of Bachelor's thesis is to demonstrate that student is capable of working on a project of non-trivial size (e.g. to create a useful application, or to formulate and prove advanced mathematical thesis), as well as to demonstrate the capability of presentation and positioning of the results in the context of actual state-of-the-art in the field. Bachelor's thesis is expected to be written in Czech, Slovak or English language. Expected structure of the work includes declaration of the author about the thesis being a school work, declaration of authorship, contents, the proper text, and references. Minimal expected scope of the work is 30 regular pages of the proper text (including illustrations).

Graduates typically continue to pursue teacher education programs at MU to gain the competence of a secondary school teacher.
