This article shows the initial transformation of czech sport association and an incredibly fast pace of events in ČSSR 1989. This period was a time of fundamental transformation of the organization of sports in the formen Czechoslovak Federal Republic. The article presents a historicel perpective on ČSTV in this period and its important role that was played by this formerly dominant sports organization in Communist Czechoslovakia
