Abstract

Autor se ve své studii zabývá dvěma knihami Franka Wollmana, které vyšly ve 30. letech 20. století - Slovesnost Slovanů (1928, německý překlad Die Literatur der Slawen, 2003, nové české vydání 2012) a K methodologii srovnávací slovesnosti slovanské (1936) a představuje je jako klíčová díla předjímající současný vývoj ve smyslu široké, otevřené syntézy různých věd a metodologií. Jeho koncept eidologie byl flexibilnější než některé dřívější koncepty formalistů a strukturalistů a překonával hranice imanentních přístupů.

Abstract (in English)

The author of the present study deals with the two books by Frank Wollman going back to the 1930s – The Literature of the Slavs (1928, German translation Die Literatur der Slawen, 2003, new Czech edition 2012) and On the Methodology of the Comparative Slavonic Literatures (1936) demonstrating them as crucial books anticipating some of contemporary developments in the sense of a wide, open synthesis of different science and methodologies. His koncept of eidology was more flexible than some of the early concepts of formalists and structuralistst overcoming the boundaries of immannent approaches.
