Abstract
Kniha se zaměřuje na problém efektivity leadershipu. Nabízí přehled teorií z oblasti managementu a řízení a psychologie organizace opírající se o více než 250 odborných zdrojů. Zabývá se problematikou manažerských kompetencí, osobností a genderem leadera, vztahem leadera s následovníky, identitou leadera a vlivem situačních faktorů. Podrobně se věnuje v současné době nejcitovanější teorii transformačního leadershipu a výzkumům z oblasti výběru a rozvoje leaderů.
Abstract (in English)
The book focuses on the problem of leadership effectiveness. It reviews theories from the area of management and organizational psychology and refers to more than 250 scientific sources. It deals with issues of managerial skills, leader’s personality and gender, leader – follower relationship, the identity of the leader and the influence of situational factors. It describes elaborately the currently most cited theory of leadership – the transformational leadership theory and researches in the field of selection and development of leaders.
