The chapter presents the research project (MSM0021622443) Special Needs of Pupils in the Context of the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education (FEP BE), the principal investigator is prof. PhDr. Marie Vítková, CSc. and the investigators are participating research teams. The research project is basic, long term, and intensive research. From the methodological point of view, there are two main dimensions (strategies): the monographic one and the statistical one. The research project is carried out as qualitative research within the monographic procedure; its result is an episteme for the empirical type of research. The main objective is to formulate the theoretical foundation of the problem, carry out the analysis of available materials and produce comparative studies with foreign countries. The research project is methodologically diversified into various areas that are identical with the research sub-problems within the statistical procedure. This research project has been proposed for the years 2007-2013. The goal of the research investigations is a systematic creative activity in the area of inclusion of students with special needs in basic school with the aim to gradually implement FEP BE. The research outcomes are gradually presented at conferences and in publications.
