In English
The paper deals with Načertanije – the secret program of Serbian foreign and national policy from 1844, which is considered to be written by one of the the most important Serbian statesmen of the 19th century, Ilija Garašanin. This secreta document is traditionally declared to be the first systematic articulation of an idea of the Greater Serbia. Does this marking correspond to reality? What was the role of Czech slavophile František Alexandr Zach in the birth of this program? What are the differences between Garašanin's Načertanije and Zach's original plan? What position does Bosnia hold in both documents? These are four interrelated questions the author strives to find answers to on the basis of a thorough comparative analysis of the complete editions of Garašanin’s Načertanije and Zach's plan of Slavonic policy of Serbia.
