Abstract

Der zur ars dictaminis gehörende Briefsteller Formularius epistolarum cum exposicione rhetoricali, der sich in der Handschrift IX E 4 (aufbewahrt in der Nationalbibliothek in Prag) aus dem 15. Jahrhundert auf den Folien 114r bis 197v erhalten hat, enthält verschiedene private oder öffentliche, auf mannigfaltige Situationen sich beziehende Musterbriefe. In diesem Beitrag werden ausgewählte Briefe von diesem Briefsteller anhand eines zeitgenössischen Handbuchs aus derselben Handschrift analysiert. Die Aufmerksamkeit wird insbesondere auf die Anwendung der theoretischen Regeln in der Praxis gerichtet, und zwar die Briefteile betreffenden Regeln. Hauptsächlich werden diese Frage beantwortet, auf welche Art die Musterbriefe konzipiert werden, aus welchen Teilen sie bestehen, ob jeder Brief alle fünf Briefteile enthält oder ob irgendeinene Teile fehlen, und wenn das der Fall ist, welche und wie oft.

Abstract (in English)

The collection of letters known as Formularius epistolarum cum exposicione rhetoricali, which is related to the part of medieval rhetoric called ars dictaminis, contains various private and public letters. In this paper, chosen specimens from this collection are analysed based on the contemporary handbook. The paper focuses on using of the theoretic rules in practise, especially the rules related to parts of letter. Analysing these letters, the aim is to find out which parts letters are composed of whether each letter contains all five parts of letter or whether some part is missing and if yes, which and how often.
