Chronologicaly the course covered the period since the first, though doubtful visit of Odoric of Pordenone and medieval scanty reports about Tibet, through the era of Jezuit and Capuchin missions up to the mission of Moravian Brethren in the 18th and 19th centruries. General problems connected to mission were delt in great depth, such as the language barrier, translation, accommodation of Christianity as well as social and economic aspects of missions.
