Abstract

Slibný počáteční rozmach brněnské muzeologie v 60. letech byl do značné míry pozastaven v důsledku srpnových událostí roku 1968. V následujícím období se přesto pod záštitou externí katedry a později oddělení Katedry archeologie a muzeologie podařilo na brněnské univerzitě realizovat postgraduální běhy určené pro pracovníky muzeí z celého Československa a od roku 1987 také studium pro zájemce ze zahraničí. Přes časté obtíže a komplikace se místním muzeologům pod vedením Zbyňka Zbyslava Stránského podařilo ve výuce prosadit vlastní teoretický systém muzeologie, jež v jejich pojetí představovala svébytnou a autonomní vědní disciplínu. Pedagogické aktivity, do nichž byla zapojena i řada mimobrněnských osobností, byly po celou dobu neodmyslitelně spjaty s dokumentační a hlavně vědecko-výzkumnou činností, jejíž výsledky výrazně ovlivnily celkový vývoj a formování oboru. Cílem předloženého příspěvku je pak analyzovat spletité osudy muzeologické výuky v Brně od začátku 70. let až po rok 1990, kdy na tehdejší Masarykově univerzitě došlo k obnovení muzeologické katedry.

Abstract (in English)

Promising initial boom of museum studies in Brno in the 1960s was largely suspended due to the events in August 1968. In the following period, yet under the auspices of the external Department of Archeology and museum studies, it was possible to implement at the Brno University the postgraduate courses for museum staff all over Czechoslovakia and since 1987 also for those interested from abroad. Despite the frequent difficulties and compliacations, the local museologists under the leadership of Zbyněk Zbyslav Stránský succeeded to enforce their own theoretical system of museum studies, which in their conception represented a distinct and autonomous scientific discipline. Education activities in which a number of personalities outside Brno was involved, have been inherently connected throughout the whole time with documentation and mainly with scientific and research activities, the results of which significantly affected the overall development and shaping of the discipline. The aim of this paper is to analyze the tangled destinies of education of Museum studies in Brno from early 1970s to the year 1990, when the Department of museum studies was renewed at then Masaryk University.
