Abstract
Methods light microscopy (LM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to determination and for study of inner and outer morphology of important primate parasite - Pterygodermatites (Mesopectines) nycticebi (Nematoda: Rictulariidae). It can cause a severe, often fatal diseases. Rictulariidae is associated with high morbidity and mortality of some primates kept in zoological parks. Hosts can have e. g. thickened intestinal wall, haemorrhagic foci and mononuclear leukocyte infiltration. Nematode female adults were collected at necroscopy of a Javan slow loris Nycticebus javanicus (Primates: Lorisidae) in the International Animal Rescue Centre in Ciapus, Indonesia. The worms were fixed in a 96% ethanol.
