Abstract
This chapter describes the status and role of humanitarian intervention in international relations. It shows how humanitarian intervention is explained by theories of IR and what is the newest incarnation of this phenomenon as a part of R2P concept.

Kapitola popisuje status a roli humanitární intervence v mezinárodních vztazích. Ukazuje, jak je humanitární intervence vnímána v rámci současných teorií mezinárodních vztahů a jak vypadá její nejnovější inkarnace jako části R2P. Krátce se také věnuje humanitárním intervencím v minulosti.
