L intervention se donne pour l objectif d analyser les possibilités de traduction d un conte de Karel Čapek, L Inventeur, en francais. S agissant d un bref récit anecdotique, fondé notamment sur la créativité et l humour linguistique, le conte constitue un défi pour le traducteur que l auteur de l article tente de relever en appliquant l approche fonctionnaliste des théoriciens du skopos, notamment celle de Christiane Nord.

The article goes on to analyze the purpose of translation possibilities of a story of Karel Čapek, The Inventor, French. It is a short anecdotic story, based in particular on creativity and linguistic humor; the story is a challenge for the translator that the author of this article attempts to identify by applying the functionalist approach of skopos theorists, especially that of Christiane Nord.
