Anotace

V originále

The goal of the Summer School is to familiarize participants with the bioinformatics of DNA/RNA sequencing, particularly focusing on work with nextgeneration (NGS) data. We expect students and wider audience of molecular biologists to participate, as well as people from genetics, medicine, computer science and engineering interested in bioinformatics and sequencing. Apart from a handful of tested procedures, the Summer School will provide the participants with an insight into the theoretical and practical problems of several disciplines entering the playground of bioinformatics, genomics and nucleic acid sequencing. The program will consist of three types of activities 1) theoretical lectures targeted towards workshop participants, 2) a workshop with computer handson exercises and 3) motivational scientific lectures related to sequencing. The Summer School will be organized at several locations at the MU in Brno, participation open to all (workshop already at full capacity). The Summer School is financially supported by the EVOGEN EU project. Participants should arrange and pay for their own travel, food and lodging. Snacks and limited accomodation will be provided.
