Abstract

In the original language

The aim of the session was to structure a lesson in such a way to use various learning styles, language skills as well as senses that the language in this language learning session would be not only the aim but mainly the means to learn the target content, in this session geography of Australia but still practising EL as much as possible. Therefore, the session started incorporated listening to culturally specific music, working with the K-W-L poster in the beginning and at the end of the session, listening to a historical background to the content, roleplaying a meeting for problem-solving, miming historical activities specific to a culture, memorising and exchanging information, using the information to fill in the missing information, and reading about the contemporary situation.
