V originále
The paper reflects on a pilot course for science students developed within the Impact project at the Masaryk University Language Centre in Brno, Czech Republic. The main purpose of the presentation is to share the author’s experience as a coordinator of this course, in which a group of scientists from different disciplines and a group of language teachers collaborated on investigating a specific scientific problem. The paper ponders the feasibility of combining all the above-mentioned approaches in one course and suggests certain conditions necessary for such a scheme to succeed.
