Abstract

V článku je stručne popísaná najväčšia bitka v námorných dejinách a zároveň rozhodujúca námorná bitka prvej svetovej vojny - bitka pri Jutsku. Napriek rozhodnému nasadeniu nemeckého loďstva proti britskej presile sa Nemecku nepodarilo zvrátiť nepriaznivý pomer síl a bitka pri Jutsku neznamenala koniec britskej námornej nadvlády.

Abstract (in English)

This article includes description of the biggest naval battle in human history as well as the decisive battle of the World war I at sea - the battle of Jutland. In spite of full deployment of the German fleet against the stronger British forces the Germans were unable to break the British superiority. The battle of Jutland did not alter the overall situation and the Royal Navy was able to cintinue with the blockade of German ports and naval commerce.
