Abstract
On 12th and 13th September 2016 the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University in Brno, organized the Seventh International Brno Conference on Linguistics Studies in English. English Discourse Studies in the Times of Change, the aim of which was to invite researchers and university teachers from the Czech Republic as well as from abroad to present and discuss their current research projects. The conference focused on the way English discourse studies reflect the role of English in the globalized the modern world.
