In a pre-modern period, diffusion of innovations through a cultural system was more than today limited by spatial constraints and, because of its political unity and economic connectivity, the Roman Empire represents an ideal context to study impact of them. Recently, the modelling platform ORBIS: The Stanford Geospatial Network Model of the Roman World has been created, based on digitalized Roman road network and following the debate on maritime travelling in ancient Mediterranean. In this paper, we extend ORBIS-based network with demographic and economic factors, so it is possible to build on it when constructing more realistic diffusion models.

V předmoderním období byly možnosti šíření inovací v rámci kulturního systému více omezené prostorem než dnes. Vzhledem k politické jednotě a ekonomické provázanosti je římská říše ideálním kontextem pro studium vlivu těchto prostorových omezení. Nedávno byla vytvořena platforma ORBIS (The Stanford Geospatial Network Model of the Roman World) založená na digitalizované římské síti silničních a mořských cest. V tomto příspěvku rozšiřujeme síť ORBISu o demografické a ekonomické faktory, takže je využitelná ke konstrukci historicky realističtějších modelů.
